2011 was a good year for old-school RPG gamers, what with a plethora of Square classics arriving on the PlayStation Store. Whether it be Final Fantasy V and Final Fantasy VI or Chrono Trigger and Chrono Cross, some of the best RPGs of all-time have been streaming onto the service.
Now, thanks to the PlayStation Blog, we know that even more classics are en route, this time in the form of Final Fantasy Origins.
Final Fantasy Origins -- which will be released in PSone Classic format -- is a collection containing both the original Final Fantasy, as well as Final Fantasy II (not to be confused with Final Fantasy IV, which was originally released on Super Nintendo as Final Fantasy II outside of Japan).
Origins came to PlayStation exceptionally late -- it didn't reach the west until the spring of 2003 -- but it was the first chance many gamers ever got to play Final Fantasy II in particular.
Final Fantasy Origins will come to the PlayStation Store in North America this Tuesday, January 10th. Its price is still unknown, though since Square Enix PSone Classics are typically $9.99, it's a safe bet that Final Fantasy Origins will be, too.
