As of today, Blizzard Entertainment and NetEase.com have agreed to continue their contract to allow certain Blizzard titles in China.  Instead of allowing the contract to expire this year it has, instead, been extended another three years.

Since 2009, World of Warcraft has flourishing in China.  This has included popular expansion such as Wrath of the Lich King and Cataclysm.  With the newest expansion Mists of Pandaria coming out soon, Chinese gamers will be allowed to enjoy this expansion for at least another three years.  Mists of Pandaria will feature very eastern art and culture; the scenery, architecture, themes, Pandaren, and monks fit this mold quite well.     

World of Warcraft is not the only Blizzard title that has been allowed in China though.  Warcraft III, StarCraft II, and the Battle.net platform have been successful as well.  

The CEO of NetEase.com, William Ding, commented, "Both companies have complementary business strategies and share a similar corporate culture. I am confident that with Blizzard Entertainment's expertise in developing world-class games and NetEase's experience in local game operation, we will be able to provide the best gaming experiences for players in China."
