According to a press release from Sony France, the PlayStation 3 sold 822 000 units in France in 2010, which is around 50% more than the X-BOX 360 sales. PS3 game sales surpassed the 8 million mark, which is a 40% increase since 2009. By the end of the 2010 fiscal year (March 2011), the PS3 is expected to pass the 3 million mark in French sales, which should be enough to bring the total number of PS3 sales in France to 3 million, compared to X-box 360's 2.2 million (according to Microsoft's Gulliame Eppe, "to this day".)

Overall, Sony has made 750 million euros in France this year, a 21% increase since 2009.

Despite that, the Kinect is still beating the PS Move in France. The sales figures are roughly equal at around 300 000 units, but taking into account that one PS Move unit can count for multiple sales because of additional peripherals, that gives Kinect the lead.
